Rain on A Sunny Day

It's raining heavily.
It seems like the skies are falling down.
A mist of riotous emotions.

All seems dull.
No one is out to play.

It's actually a blessing!
Its a shower of gates.
A mountain of thorns.
Red grass on a green field.
A flower in a blade of grass.
A wonder to behold.
The rate of amazing gifts raining down
To the old
To the young
To the rich
To the not so rich
To the sick
To the well
To boy
To the girl
It's all the same.
The rain is so much more.
It tells us that the sun is coming soon
To brighten up our day.
To replace our gloom with a smile.
The diamonds in the sand.
Glistening in nothingness.
Or so it seems.
The loud storm of feelings that are confusing
Remind us that we are human.
It reminds us that we are so much more than a frown.
